Victoria food and wine experiences
Victoria the provincial capital is a popular destination for food and wine experiences and boasts a wide and varied range of restaurants. Located on the Pacific Victoria enjoys the fruits of the sea and the fruits of the field in equal measure.

The city's restaurants excel at creating daring and delicious dishes from local ingredients, featuring wild salmon, organic produce, artisan cheeses, native mushrooms and berries. There is a food experience awaiting every size of budget from Lobster to Hot-Dogs and Oysters to French Fries.

Home of two notable culinary schools the island can boast a host of chefs that are truly masters of their trade. Seafood restaurants are of course plentiful and there is even a floating fish and chips shop located at fisherman's wharf. Since Victoria started to become an international stopping point for many cruise ships the visitors needs grew. There are as many people visiting the city to sample the fine cuisine and locally brewed wines and beers as there are people visiting the island to stop off at Butchart Gardens these days.
